The AI Scribe records consultations ambiently while the doctor sees a patient, then generates documentation from the full conversation. Smart Dictation is for scenarios where a patient is not present: post-op notes, medicolegal reports, follow-up letters, or situations where the doctor simply prefers to dictate. Both use the same specialist AI models and produce the same quality of output — the difference is the input method.
Medow has bi-directional API integrations with Genie (syncing every 10 minutes), Gentu (minute-to-minute), Elixir, and Meditech for hospital settings. Shexie and Maestro integrations are coming soon. All integrations are deep API connections (not widget overlays) so appointments, patient demographics, and completed reports sync automatically without manual re-entry.
Yes. Medow's Meditech integration allows hospital doctors to search patients by room number and push notes directly into the EMR in real time during ward rounds. This makes documentation available to nursing and clinical staff immediately, without waiting for the doctor to manually enter notes between rounds.
Setup is completed by Medow's local customer success team and typically takes two to three business days. This includes configuring templates, tone, letterheads, and integrations before the doctor has access to the platform. For clinics with straightforward requirements and no integrations, setup can be even faster. You do not need to configure anything yourself.
Yes. All personally identifiable information (PII) is de-identified before entering Medow's AI models. Audio files are retained for seven days by default (configurable). Transcripts are retained indefinitely. Data is stored regionally in line with local regulations. Australian and New Zealand data is stored in Australia.
Yes. Medow supports in-person, telehealth, and pre-recorded consult modes. The consult settings are selected before recording begins, and the platform handles each mode accurately. Telehealth consultations are transcribed and documented to the same standard as in-person consults.
